Tidal Rivers

The tidal rivers bear a sense of mysteriousness due to their nature of occurring during the low tide and being hidden during the high tide. This inspired me to present a body of work that will avoid rich composition to make the viewer focus on the narrative behind the images. Moreover, there is also little known about them scientifically, and according to Hoiting and Jay (2016, p. 240), “tidal rivers are a vital and little-studied nexus between physical oceanography and hydrology. It is only in the last few decades that substantial research efforts have been focused on the interactions of river discharge with tidal waves and storm surges into regions beyond the limit of salinity intrusion, a realm that can extend inland hundreds of kilometres”.
